THE Melksham Lions Club Easter Raffle Hampers are in local shops and businesses now.
The community initiative is raising funds for Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Free Wheelers (Blood Bikes).
“There are up to 110 squares on the raffle ticket grid for each hamper, and while we don’t expect that all of them will get sold, we would hope to raise about £2,000 for the charities,” says president of Melksham Lions, Philip Gaskell.
The hampers can be seen in shops and business around the town including The Bear, The Bell Broughton Gifford, Build Base, Cobblers Bench, The Conservative Club, Melksham Town Football Club, Fox and Hounds Broughton Gifford, Glow, Gonjo, The Grapes, King’s Arms Melksham; Kings Arms Hilperton; Leekes, Lowdens Garden Centre, Meads, Melksham Motor Spares, Melksham Tyres, Mid West Racing; Newmans the Butcher, Peddles Coffee Shop, Pig & Whistle, The Pilot, Queensway Chapel Nursery.
