THE Pig and Whistle pub is hosting prize bingo, a quiz night, live music, a bike meet and its charity breakfast club in the weeks ahead.
On Sunday 6th March its eyes down at the Pig and Whistle for its prize bingo night!
“Join us for an afternoon of great fun, games and a raffle with lots of prizes to be won,” says the pub. “Prizes have all been donated by local businesses and all proceeds raised will be donated to the Dorothy House charity. Eyes down at 4pm – see you there!”
On Wednesday 9th March the pub is hosting its monthly charity quiz night from 7pm to 9pm.
“Come and join us for a quiz full of great questions and random bonus rounds,” they say. “£2.50 entry per person, teams of four – prizes for winners, and all monies going to local charities, changing monthly.
“So grab your friends and families and come to test your knowledge at one of our monthly quizzes. Food served 5pm-8pm – booking advised.”
On Saturday 12th March there is live music from the Reservoir Hogs, from 9pm to 11pm. The band play alternative, psych rock, punk pop and Britpop covers from the ‘90s
On Thursday 17th March the pub is hosting its monthly bike meet for all 2 wheeler enthusiasts, from 7pm to 9pm.
“Come on down to chat about all things bikes, grab a bite to eat, a beverage or just a chance to get out on your bike for a social,” say the pub.

The bike meet is held on the third Thursday of each month.
On Saturday 19th March the pub is hosting its charity breakfast club, from 9.30am to 2pm.
“Throughout the year here at The Pig we hold charity breakfast clubs to raise money and awareness for local groups,” says the pub.
“We will also have our trolley open for collecting any non-perishable goods to pass on to the local food bank. We, The Pig and Whistle will donate £1 per full English sold – the money is donated to a new charity each month. Tea and coffee is available for a donation.
“So join us for a full English or just a breakfast bap (veggie and kids’ options available) and a catch up.”
