MELKSHAM Cancer Research fundraising group is desperately looking for the loan of a marquee for their Dirty Boots Festival in August.
The charity requires a marquee or more than one if possible on Saturday 30th August as it is required before they can accommodate further sellers for the event.
The festival held in Broughton Gifford will be the flagship event of 2014 for the Melksham branch of Cancer Research and last year raised around £10,000 for the charity. Dirty Boots will be a family day out with entertainment for children, stalls, local bands, food on site, beer tent and a grand raffle.
Cancer Research Melksham group’s chair, Marie Bucknell-Smith said, “We are also looking for local companies who are able to sponsor the event, no matter how little they can donate. This is to cover the security staff we have to have and the portable toilets. In return, we will offer them free advertising and complimentary tickets for the event.”
