Melksham man presenting medals at the Anniversary Games

KACPER Bochen from Melksham went to the Summer Series Anniversary Games at the Olympic Stadium on Sunday 28th July.

Kacper, an employee at Sainsbury’s, was one of seven colleagues chosen from across the whole country to present medals at the games. This was a result of Kacper’s contribution towards making 2012 A Year Like No Other for Sainsbury’s.

He presented medals to the male shot put winners, which included the Gold Medallist Aled Davies who represented Great Britain.

There were 2,000 Sainsbury’s colleagues who attended the games spectating, which allowed them to turn one of the sections of the stadium orange and stand out from the crowd.

Kacper said, “This event was a fantastic opportunity to get involved with; the atmosphere at the stadium was extraordinary. I have met many inspirational athletes and some great volunteers without whom the event would not have happened.”
