Melksham Speakers club goes from strength to strength. At the meeting on 10th May the first certificate of achievement was presented to David Asselbrough by John McGee who is the Area President of the Cotswold and Essex Area.
David has completed five speeches to a set target. He is now working towards his next certificate which will be awarded when he has completed 10 assignments in public speaking.
Also at the meeting there was a debate about should national service be brought back? The subject was enthusiastically debated with many questions from the audience. The evening concluded with a set speech about the importance of health and safety and how safety can be perceived so as to be detrimental to everyday living. The speech was very well received and was most enjoyable.
Melksham Speakers club is giving its members confidence in everything they do. It encourages and supports good communication in all aspects of life whether it is doing a presentation, saying a few words at a wedding or family celebration, or making a valid complaint without loosing one’s temper.
