MELKSHAM’S new mayor is cllr Adrienne Westbrook who was elected at the Annual Town Meeting on Monday last week. The deputy mayor is cllr Jon Hubbard.
“I am delighted to have been chosen to be the Mayor of Melksham for the coming year,” said cllr Westbrook. “I would love to visit as many organisations in Melksham during my year to talk about the way forward for Melksham.
“There are many challenges in the town at the moment and I am passionate about improving the facilities that have been neglected over the last few years since Wiltshire became a unitary authority and took over our parks and leisure facilities, to name just a few.
“If your organisation would like me to visit, to talk to them, or just to find out more about what they do, please could they contact the Town Hall to get this arranged and I will be delighted to attend and meet you.”
