A SPECIAL rugby match was held on Armistice Day, Friday 11th November to raise money for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
The match between military veterans and the Melksham Stags mixed ability team was played at the Oakfields stadium.
Trevor Paterson, Royal British Legion Melksham branch president and Poppy Appeal organiser, said, “With the events of the last two years weighing heavily on everyone, it is great to see this event back on the Melksham calendar.”
