A NEW countryside run has been organised by Redfish Events, in support of Melksham Carnival, named ‘Bowerhill Bomber’, a picturesque 10k or 5k charity run.
The event will start at Bowerhill Sports Field on Sunday 22nd July, where competitors can either run a 10k distance or 5k. The course tackles country lanes, fields, towpaths and some roads.
The 10k race is open to runners over the age of 16 years on the day of the race. The 5K race is open to all, but under 10s must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs are welcome if they are on a lead. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.
Entry fees are £14 affiliated and £16 unattached for 10k entry or £6.50 affiliated, £8.50 unattached for the 5K distance.
Places are limited to 300 so early booking is advised. Race entries are open till 6pm on Sunday 15th July or earlier if the race limit is reached. No entries are allowed on the day.
Registration is from 9am to 10am where you can collect your race number. The 10K race starts at 10.30 and the 5K race starts at 10.45. There will be a short briefing before the race for your safety. To sign up for this event visit www.entry central.com/festival/1408.
