Sat 19th Nov. Southern League Div One South Bristol Manor Farm 1 – 5 Melksham Town
Melksham Town produced a scintillating performance on Saturday 19th November, to defeat Bristol Manor Farm 5-1.
In the first half Melksham were indebted to their keeper, on loan from championship team Bristol City, for some magnificent saves and went behind on 16 minutes to Gosling. Slightly against the run of play, Ben Brooks – signed from Cinderford just last month – equalised for the Town on 35 minutes.
In the second half, Town produced their best performance of the season and ran riot, with Brooks completing his hattrick and Sam Hendy scoring a brace.
Chairman Darren Perrin said, “A massive well done to all the players and interim staff and for the magnificent travelling away support!” On Saturday 26th November the first team are at home to Cinderford, kick off at 3pm.
Darren said, “We hope for a large turn out – especially as we hope to have the new manager of Melksham Town FC in place by then.”
