A LOCAL woman is in training for her toughest running challenge as she prepares to tackle the London Marathon in April.
With a few half marathons already under her belt, keen runner Suzanne Whiteford is hoping she can last the gruelling 26.2 miles to raise money for Children with Cancer UK and Wizzybug, a scheme based at the Royal United Hospital Bath that loans powered mobility chairs to children under 5, as there is no NHS funding.
Suzanne said, “I am very nervous, but excited for the big day.
“For training I am running three times a week, running up to 12 miles on a long run. I will also be taking part in the Bath Half Marathon next month as practice.
“I would gratefully receive any donations for Children with Cancer UK and Wizzybug through my Virgin Just Giving page.”
