OVER 100 runners took part in this year’s Great Chalfield 10K.
Organisers report, “Ian Dunning of Team Bath AC ran out as the winner in the eleventh running of the Great Chalfield 10K, held by Broughton Gifford & Holt Scout Group. Ian completed the playfully undulating course in 37 minutes and 40 seconds, ahead of Nicholas Hancock of Corsham Running Club and Marko Nurminen from Nailsea.
“In the ladies’ race Emma Tate from Neston led home in 44 minutes and 7 seconds, ahead of Jenny Freeman from Broughton Gifford and Catherine Adsett of Corsham Running Club.
“Age category awards went to: 1st MV40 – Ben Williams from Broughton Gifford; 1st FV40 – Yuka Morrell of Corsham Running Club; 1st MV50 – Richard Morgetroyd of Avon Valley Runners; 1st FV50 – Fiona Price of Avon Valley Runners; 1st MV60 – Andrew Jefferies of Avon Valley Runners; 1st FV60 – Kath.”
