All Seend Primary School children came to school in tree-themed mufti on Friday 22nd November as part of a national campaign by just on Tree.
The school reports, “This idea, put forward by our SENCO, really supports the part of our vision that refers to taking environmental responsibility and our values of respect and generosity. Money raised (ours was £120 in total) goes to support tree planting in Haiti, Madagascar, Kenya and Mozambique. Further details can be found here: www.just onetree.life/schools-sustain ability.html
“Each of our values is linked to an ambassador or champion, someone who epitomises that value and someone the children can relate to. The value champion for our value of respect, is Sir David Attenborough so this linked really well.
“The pictures are of each class (holly, oak, chestnut and sycamore) coincidentally named after trees. You can see how important trees are to us – as well as the environment!”
