Sun. 8th Dec. Women’s NC 2 South West (East) Melksham Ladies 42-15 Dorchester
Melksham Ladies ach-ieved their second win of the season on Sunday 8th December, winning 42-15 against Dorchester/Wey & P ladies.
The home side scored 8 tries with 1 conversion despite Dorchester scoring the 1st try of the match. Melksham’s coaches would like to express their gratitude to the Melksham players who joined the Dorchester side for the match, to fulfil the numbers and make what turned out to be a very exciting match.
Each side defended well, with hold ups on the try line each way. The scrums were fought well, with each side showing their strength and skill at every opportunity. Chloe Wallington and Lauren Nelson emerged as the top try-scorers for the Melksham side, with 3 and 2 tries apiece. Charlotte Wellon and Candice Walters also scored, with Faye George scoring the final try of the match with a break from the halfway line. Dorchester scored 3 tries but sadly failed to convert any.
Melksham ladies would like to thank Dorchester ladies for a brilliant match and for their excellent company after the match.
Melksham ladies’ next match will be away to Trojans II on January the 12th.
