Melksham travelled away this weekend and put in a strong performance against mid table rivals Swindon.
The visitors played with steely purpose from the off, Phil Stone scoring a brace in the first quarter, from good interplay from the backs, and finishing from Stone, the boot of Callum Hurn adding to the total.
Melksham were in control until a break through the centre against the run of play found a hole for Swindon to score. This effort partially cancelled out a few minutes later, with a well struck penalty from fly half Hurn.
Melksham maintained the same intensity, both forwards and backs combining the pressure keeping the score board ticking over. Swindon giving away penalties as the pressure came on kicked by Hurn to further deflate the home team.
The visitors continue to attack the Swindon line and were rewarded with a push over try, Aaron Brailey getting the ball down Hurn adding the extras to close the game 7 – 31.
Man of the match award to flanker Ollie Cooper and starting debut for Cameron Bull at fullback.
