THE next Tidy Town Day will be on Sunday 1st October from 1pm until 3pm.
Volunteers meet at the Pavilion, within King George V Park. Town clerk Clare Harris said, “If you are interested in doing your bit, please just go along to the pavilion for a 1pm start, in suitable outdoor clothes. Tools, gloves and all other necessary equipment will be provided. You will be rewarded with tea and cake!
“The town council run a scheme to reward volunteers for tidying up the town. One Melksham community voucher can be earned for every hour spent litter picking. You can either join in the monthly Tidy Town Day or simply borrow the litter picking kit from the Town Hall and pick litter whenever you like.”
