Wednesday 22nd January – Willand Rovers 1-0 Melksham Town
Saturday 25th January – Bishops Cleeve 0-0 Melksham Town
Town have dropped out of the play-off places after two defeats and a draw in three games.
A 3-0 loss at home to in form Malvern Town was followed another defeat when the team travelled to Devon to take on Willand Rovers and lost to a late 85th minute goal.
But on Saturday, Town picked up a point with another away trip, this time across the border to Gloucestershire, where play-off placed Bishops Cleeve were the hosts. A tight competitive game saw Town regain some form and return home after a 0-0 draw.
Dave Thompson honoured after clocking up 400 appearances
The home fixture against Malvern Town saw a pre-match presentation to Dave Thompson after reaching 400 appearances for his home town club. He was presented with a commemorative shirt denoting his 400 games.
Manager Mark Collier said, “In today’s climate, players come and go and in truth, sometimes show very little commitment, but Tommo is certainly not in that camp.
“To make 400 appearances shows what a great affinity he has with the club; he has won many honours along the way, has captained the team with pride and now, on the coaching side, he continues to play a big part at the club.”
