TWO businesses will go head-to-head in a charity football re-match in aid of Macmillan and Wiltshire Air Ambulance, but who will take home the trophy this year?
Travis Perkins of Melksham and Knorr-Bremse took to the pitch last year in a charity football match to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, with Knorr-Bremse taking home the trophy. The two teams will battle it out again this Sunday, 16th September, with Travis Perkins eager to snatch the trophy away from their rivals.
Last year the event raised £2012.45 for Macmillan cancer support and the companies hope to raise more funds this year, which will be split between Macmillan and Wiltshire Air Ambulance. The match will take place at the infiLED arena at Oakfields, the home of Melksham Town FC, with entry from 1pm before kick-off at 2pm.
There is a suggested donation of £2 per entry, as well as cake stalls, a raffle and children’s activities including face painting and a DJ. Travis Perkins’friendly mascot ‘Travis Bearkins’ will be there too!
