SHAW C of E Primary School is looking for a committed local governor to join their governing body.
The governing body acts as the strategic leaders of the school, holding the headteacher and senior leaders to account. “Acting as a critical friend, the local governing body ensures that children within the school are safeguarded and continue to make excellent progress,” says chair of governors Paul Berry.
“The essential qualities that a local governor must possess are: commitment to attend four to six meetings a year (in the evening) and visit the school two to three times a year; computer literate with basic email and access to MS Word and online training etc; a keen interest in supporting the local community and children’s education; and enthusiasm and a team player.”
To find out more, please contact the chair of governors at pberry@gov.twhf.org.uk or contact the school office on 01225 702544.
