A WESTBURY business is taking over a 59,000 sq. ft warehouse in Bowerhill, formerly owned by Cooper Tires.
The huge building – the size of a football pitch – on Lancaster Road at the Bowerhill Industrial Estate has been let to Westbury Packaging on a 15 year lease with breaks at six and 10 years.
Tom Watkins of the industrial and logistics team in the Bristol office of real estate firm Colliers International, said, “This is a particularly substantial unit for this area, and it attracted attention from prospective leaseholders and purchasers with businesses in locations including Bath, Trowbridge, Frome, Westbury and Melksham itself.”
Set in a self-contained site of 2.37 acres including parking, loading and yard areas, the unit was previously occupied by Cooper Tires, which has relocated to Swindon. The property was refurbished by The Minton Group. Colliers International acted jointly with local agents Myddelton & Major on behalf of the Minton Group. Westbury Packaging was unrepresented.
