MANOR VC Primary School have appointed Kerry Haines as permanent headteacher following a period as acting headteacher.
Kerry Haines has been acting headteacher since April 2012, and, following the resignation of the former headteacher she applied for and was successful in securing the post of headteacher.
Keith Clover, chair of governors said, “All of the governors and staff are delighted to welcome Kerry as headteacher. She has done a remarkable job in the time of her acting headship, supporting a number of new staff, ensuring that all children receive the support and challenge that they deserve and also leading the school to a ‘Good’ judgement at Ofsted.”
Kerry Haines has been associated with The Manor School since its creation in 2004. She has been a subject leader, special educational needs co-ordinator and assistant headteacher during her time at The Manor. During the school’s recent Ofsted inspection she was credited with her exceptional leadership and her exciting and compelling vision for the future of the school.
Keith Clover added, “This is another really exciting time in the history of The Manor School. Following our conversion to an academy and all of the exciting changes in the school we are incredibly fortunate to have Kerry as our headteacher. The next few years are going to be very eventful at our school, starting with a brand new building for our Reception children and further investment and development of the school.”
Kerry Haines said, “I am very proud to be the headteacher of The Manor School. We strive to offer an excellent education which is accessible to all children. We provide a range of experiences for our children to prepare them for the opportunities, experiences and responsibilities of adult life. I am looking forward to leading the school in its next phase of development.”
