Melksham’s Muay Thai Boxing fighter, Danny Sergiu, is after a hat trick knockout with the same kick.
After defeating Swansea’s Dave Johnson for the Welsh Title in December last year with a stunning left kick to the head in the third round, Danny has done it again, this time in Bournemouth on Saturday 8th of March.
His opponent (Ziggy Horrie) who hales from King Tiger Gym, a very renound muay thai gym in Weymouth, got dropped in the second round by the exact same kick, making Danny the winner of another belt.
Danny explains, “I didn’t think about it until one of my mates pointed out as a joke, that i might get a hat trick if i win my next fight with the same kick. i think winning three fights in a row by KO is easily achieved by many, but to finish your opponents with exactly the same technique every time is just something else!
“My next fight is in Bristol on April 5th. It’s a grudge match that I have been waiting for since 2012. Keep an eye out for the results – it’s gonna be a KO!
“I would just like to dedicate this win to my grandad who sadly passed away one week before my fight, and also to my beautiful daughter Willow, who i haven’t seen for about four-five weeks now.
